Vatsal Assar

Vatsal Assar was born in Pittsburgh, PA and grew up in Temple, TX. He began his professional career at Deloitte & Touché, LLP where he spent two years in both the Assurance & Enterprise Risk Services group, as well as the Financial Advisory Services group. After that, he spent three years at Highland Capital Management, LP, a hedge fund in Dallas, TX, as a portfolio analyst in the Structured Products group. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration and Masters in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business. Vatsal earned his Series 7 and 66 registrations (held through Commonwealth Financial Network) and made the transition to advise clients on a more personal level in 2009. He acquired his designation as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional (CFP®) in 2018 and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2006.
